NASA to Launch New Crew to International Space Station
NASA is set to send a new crew to the International Space Station (ISS). The agency has announced that a SpaceX Dragon capsule carrying four astronauts for the Crew-12 mission will be launched on February 11 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, in the United States, reports Engadget.
According to NASA, the launch is targeted for no earlier than 6:01 a.m. Eastern Time. If all goes according to plan, the capsule is expected to dock with the ISS at around 10:30 a.m. on February 12.
Earlier, due to health-related concerns, the Crew-11 mission was concluded nearly a month ahead of schedule, and the four astronauts aboard were returned to Earth on January 15. As a result, only three crew members were present on the International Space Station at that time.
The new arrivals to the ISS will include NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Russian space agency cosmonaut Andrei Fedyayev.
NASA will broadcast the launch and docking activities of the mission live.
