OpenAI to Launch "ChatGPT Connectors" for Business Integration

OpenAI is set to launch a new feature, "ChatGPT Connectors," in an experimental phase, enabling business users to integrate ChatGPT with Google Drive and Slack, according to a report by TechCrunch.
A document obtained by TechCrunch reveals that ChatGPT Team subscribers will be able to link their Google Drive and Slack accounts to the chatbot. This integration will allow ChatGPT to access files, presentations, spreadsheets, and Slack conversations to generate responses based on workplace data. OpenAI also plans to extend the feature to Microsoft SharePoint and Box in the future.
The technology will be powered by a specialized version of GPT-4o, designed to analyze internal company data and provide more precise responses. OpenAI has assured that user permissions will be respected and personal data will remain protected.
However, ChatGPT will not be able to access image-based documents from Google Drive or private messages from Slack. Companies interested in participating in the trial phase must submit 100 documents or Slack messages, though OpenAI has clarified that this data will not be used directly to train its AI models.
