Munni Saha Detained While Leaving Software Technology Park Amid Public Protest

Much discussed journalist Muni Saha was detained by law enforcement on Saturday night, November 30, following a public altercation near Karwan Bazar in Dhaka. The arrest stems from a case filed with Jatrabari Police Station linked to allegations during recent anti-discrimination protests.

However, she was handed over to his family on bail as he was suffering from panic attacks.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (Detective) Rezaul Karim Mallik said that people surrounded Munni Saha in the caravan market. When she panicked, the police rescued her and first took her to Tejgaon police station. From there she was brought to DB for safety reasons. As she has four cases against her, she has been handed over to his family on bail.

According to the sources, Hi-Tech Park Authority will get due Tk 23 lakh from Munni Saha for 13 months rent arrears of 1 takar khobor office in Software Technology Park of Janata Tower.
