Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has directed the concerned parties to resolve the complaints of users regarding call drop, lack of data network and the expiration of data.He was speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony of an agreement between TKC Telecom, a Canadian-based international company, to oversee the activities of mobile operators on Monday.The Minister directed the BTRC and mobile operators to take steps not to shorten the duration of the data package considering the interests of the customers by attending the virtual agreement signing ceremony. The minister directed to give users the opportunity to use the surplus data after the expiration date.Besides Secretary of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Md. Afzal Hossain, BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder was also present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications said that another milestone has been set in the progress of establishing Digital Bangladesh through the Telecom Monitoring Agreement. This Telecom Monitoring System will make a unique contribution to the monitoring and improvement of telecom services.The Minister said that if the TMS project is implemented, it will be a laudable and exemplary initiative in the world. At the same time, it will be possible to observe all the necessary information in real-time. This will ensure regular and reliable access to BTRC's revenue due to voice and data traffic, network usage and quality information. This will greatly improve the policy-making system of BTRC and make reporting to the government more efficient and faster. The Minister noted that the Digital Bangladesh program has changed Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.He added that people have questions about the quality of service of mobile operators. It was about maintaining quality, we have been monitoring them. But without the help of technology, it is impossible to accomplish this task. That is why we are adopting technology in this case as well.
