Bandwidth supply restarted thru’ SEA-ME-WE-4
After the maintenance, bandwidth supply started again through the country's first submarine cable (SEA-ME-WE-4). All activities were completed by 4 pm on Saturday (July 13). After that all the circuits have been activated. Currently, bandwidth supply from this cable is going on in full swing across the country.
Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSC PLC) Managing Director Mirza Kamal Ahmad confirmed the matter in the evening and said that after the maintenance work in the Singapore part, bandwidth supply has started through the country's first submarine cable SEA-ME-WE-4 in Cox's Bazar. The maintenance work was completed two hours earlier. Then all the circuits are opened. Normal bandwidth provision continues now.
Earlier, the BSC PLC notification on Friday informed that the circuits connected through the cable will be partially closed for about 12 hours from 6 am to 6 pm on July 13 for maintenance work undertaken by the consortium at the Singapore end of the Submarine Cable (SEA-ME-WE-4) system. However, BSC PLC also expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to the customers. However, at this time, the circuits connected through SEA-ME-WE-5 of the country's second submarine cable at Kuakata were operating as usual.
