BCS is preparing international standard training for manufacturing

Bangladesh Computer Society is conducting regular training activities with the help of Business Promotion Council (BPC) to improve the skills of its members. The newly elected executive committee has been continuing the training programs offline which went online during the Covid-19 pandemic. A number of training workshops were held at the BCS Innovation Center in Dhanmondi last week. In addition to the workshop, the members of the new committee paid a courtesy call on the office of the Business Promotion Council (BPC) on Sunday, June 5 to take some new initiatives for the welfare of the members. The newly elected President of BCS Engineer Subrata Sarkar and Secretary General Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan called on the BPC Coordinator and Joint Secretary Md. Abdur Rahim Khan. During the meeting, the BCS President discussed the progress of the ongoing activities and the future plans with the coordinator. At the end of the courtesy meeting, the joint secretary Md. Abdur Rahim praised the work of BCS and assured that BPC would continue to stand by BCS in future also. BPC executive officer Faisal Khan was present at the courtesy call. Asked about the meeting, BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar told DigiBangla that besides bringing in foreign trainers to build skilled manpower suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution to go into hardware manufacturing in the country, a team from Bangladesh Computer Society will also come from Bangladesh and train others. BPC has assured all-out cooperation in this regard. "We told the meeting that we wanted to train members with foreign trainers for hardware manufacturing," he said. Therefore, I have sought their cooperation to go abroad for training and to bring foreign trainers in the country. The BPC coordinator has asked us for a proposal in writing. According to the decision of the bilateral meeting, the training activities can be started in October-November. Earlier in the financial year 2022-2023, an exchange of views was held which was chaired by the President of BCS Engineer Subrata Sarkar and conducted by the Secretary General Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan.’ At the meeting, Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan, Representatives of, Director Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Mohammad Monirul Islam and other technology importers at the meeting gave their views on what kind of impact the budget should have to take the technology sector forward. The BCS president also mentioned that the BCS would soon work with the concerned ministry on the proposals of the technology sector based on the views of the members.
