Xiaomi Excels: 500,000 EV Deliveries Milestone

Just three years after announcing its car manufacturing plans, Xiaomi has reached a world-shaking milestone—half a million electric vehicles (EVs) have already been delivered! The 500,000th delivery was surpassed on November 20, marking a rapid rise for Xiaomi EV, demonstrating that although they started late, they are advancing on the path to success at an unstoppable pace. The news comes from EVArena.

This year, Xiaomi’s initial delivery target was 300,000 vehicles, later raised to 350,000 in March. Remarkably, the company reached this goal a month ahead of schedule. Xiaomi now expects total deliveries in 2025 to exceed 400,000, with more than 40,000 vehicles delivered in November alone.

The speed of this achievement is particularly notable. Xiaomi announced its car-making plans on March 30, 2021, launched the SU7 sedan on March 28, 2024, and began customer deliveries on April 3, 2024—a production ramp-up rarely seen in the industry.

Xiaomi’s first model, the SU7, directly competes with Tesla Model 3. Later, responding to market demand, Xiaomi introduced the SU7 Ultra-High-End Performance Sedan and, on June 26 of the same year, entered the SUV segment with the YU7—a challenger to Tesla Model Y.

Aggressive pricing, modern technology, and Tesla-comparable performance have helped Xiaomi rise in the market. By the third quarter of 2025, Xiaomi’s Innovation Business Unit (EV + AI) has shown profits for the first time.

With China reducing new energy vehicle (NEV) purchase incentives next year, Xiaomi has announced new stock, display units, and nearly-new batches for rapid deliveries. Existing customers can select immediately, while new buyers will have access from December 3.
