Samsung Set to Revive Galaxy A7X Series with New Mid-Range Phones
After three years, Samsung is reportedly preparing to relaunch its Galaxy A7X series. The series had been inactive since the launch of the Galaxy A73 in 2022. However, a prototype spotted in the Geekbench database strongly suggests that the Galaxy A77 is on the way, according to GSM Arena.
The device is reported to feature 8GB of RAM and run on Android 16. While its chipset is related to Samsung’s Exynos 2400 and 2400i, it is comparatively less powerful in terms of clock speed. The phone is expected to have three prime cores at 2.78 GHz, three performance cores at 2.3 GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.82 GHz. Essentially, it remains a deca-core CPU, but slightly less powerful than the previous Exynos 2400 series.
It is believed that Samsung is targeting the upper-midrange market with this device by using an unused lower-tier Exynos 2400 chip. No further hardware details have been revealed yet.
On the same day, the Galaxy A57 was also spotted on Geekbench, suggesting that both models may be officially launched around March.
