২৩ নভেম্বর, ২০২১ ২৩:২৯
After student-teacher, this time the ICT department wants to create a specialized online platform for parents. This will make parents aware of the future initiation ecosystem, cyber security and 'entrepreneurial supply chain'. In this regard, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that many parents are not yet aware of 'Entrepreneur Supply Chain'. They don't know that the top 10 richest people in the world are technology entrepreneurs. So, we will ask UNDP and a2i to make them aware. He further said that the government is establishing School of Future, Advanced Digital Lab, Specialized Lab, IT Business Incubation Center, Sheikh Hasina IET Training Incubation Center and Sheikh Hasina Institution of Frontier Tech to build youthful youth suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the meantime, we have provided capital assistance to 169 companies and $38 million from startup Bangladesh. More than 150 startup funds are on the power list. To this end, I urge the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Youth Co-Lab and Young Bangla Youth to take up innovative projects. The call was made by Palak as the chief guest at the presentation of a report on Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Virtual Bangladesh on Tuesday. The report was jointly published by UNDP, ISDB, City Foundation, Startup Bangladesh and Life Castle Partners. The Minister hoped that the report would be used as a resource to build a sustainable ecosystem with young entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. At the same time, he said, the Prime Minister today approved the setting up of 10,000 more Sheikh Russell Digital Labs at the secondary and higher secondary levels to enhance the capacity of educational institutions in providing quality education by ensuring specific use of information technology. It is expected that the work of setting up 35,000 digital labs will be completed within the next 5 years. "Today, the Prime Minister has approved our much awaited 'Digital Connectivity' project," Palak said. Through this we will set up 555 Digital Service Employment and Training Centers (DESETs) at the Upazila level. From here, young entrepreneurs will provide government services as well as train educated youth so that they can do freelancing from their own city. Using high speed internet, they can earn a decent income at home. UNDP Resident Representative Sudipta Mukherjee, Youth Co Lab Bangkok Policy Specialist Eli Harak, Life Castle CEO Bijan Islam, Startup Bangladesh Head of Port Folio Business A Arif, City Foundation Officer Rajesh Shekharan, Regional Director of Islami Unnayan Bank Group were connected online in the event.
