Wazed Mia strived his whole life for the advancement of science: Yafes Osman
Dr. Wazed Mia was a genuine patriot and an internationally renowned nuclear scientist. Without the development of science, the social and economic development of the country is not possible. Wazed Mia continued to strive for the advancement of science; He worked for the welfare of the people with his talent, thinking and creativity. As a result of his tireless efforts, the path of extensive development and research in various branches of science has been expanded in the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission today.
Architect Yafes Osman, Minister for Science and Technology conveyed his tribute On the occasion of the 12th death anniversary of MA Wazed Miah, an atomic energy scientist, the former chairman of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission.
The program took place at Dr. Anwar Hossain Auditorium in the head office of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Agargaon in Dhaka on Sunday.
Despite the great potential for success in politics, Wazed Mia did not get involved into that but focused on the practice of science and the development of science. The implementation of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant was a lifelong dream of Dr. MA Wazed Mia.
Prof. Md. Sanwar Hossain, Chairman, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission presided over the program.
