Barrister Sara Hossain has called upon the Advisors of the interim government to take down the anti-women and anti-community posts instead of the posts published criticizing the advisors. She said, advisors should listen to criticism. So, before requesting them to be deleted from social media, posts should be taken down which are related to anti-women and anti-community. At the same time, this human rights activist urged the citizens and the media to collect video footage of the 80 children killed in the student-crowd uprising to help the United Nations investigation and prosecution work to identify those involved in the massacre.

Besides, Sara thinks that the government will be more careful about the arrest of the culprits or the case, and the path to justice will be opened. In addition, this lawyer expressed doubt about the possibility of intercepting the court order by pointing out the experience of using court for implementing evil intentions.

She expressed this opinion in a civil dialogue held at BASIS Conference Center in Karwanbazar of the capital on Saturday. Fahim Mashroor, convener of Civil Reform Bangladesh 2.0, moderated this civil dialogue on interception, right to privacy and freedom of speech in the new Bangladesh.

At the beginning of the speech, he said that it is not right to reveal what is happening in the remand to the media. The media is reporting quoting DB sources, this is an illegal act. We have to be careful that there is no media trial before sentencing.

Mentioning the sad fact that defamation cases were handled by the British Act of 1820 in independent Bangladesh, he said there is a need for restraint. There is no guarantee that the losers will not rise again. So, there will be surveillance but it is important how to use it.

Those who have come in contact with the court do not have confidence in the court. A lawyer went to court to block OTT. You know what happened next.
