Digital Land Drive: Secretary Pushes Smart, Transparent Service System in Dhaka
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land, A S M Saleh Ahmed, has visited the Mohammadpur Land Office (Mohammadpur Circle) in the capital Dhaka, emphasizing the need to further accelerate and enhance digitalized land management operations. He also called for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to simplify, ensure transparency in, and make service delivery more citizen-friendly.
During the visit, Secretary Saleh Ahmed interacted with citizens present at the land information collection and service camp related to data entry and correction in the automated land service system. He listened to their experiences and feedback regarding service delivery. The ongoing service week, which began on 7 April, will continue until 11 April.
On 10 April, Friday, the Land Secretary conducted an on-site review of the progress of data collection and updating activities of landowners’ information. Following the inspection, he provided necessary directives to the concerned officials.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Land Md. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury and Project Director of the Land Automation Project Md. Parvez Hasan were present during the visit. Senior officials from the Ministry of Land and other relevant departments and agencies were also in attendance.
