China Calls for Candidates: Free Drone Training for Bangladeshis Announced

China has announced a specialized drone training program for Bangladeshi nationals, inviting interested applicants to register by June 1 via email, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka said in a statement issued on Tuesday, May 27.
The training will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will include a 1–2 week foundational course on essential knowledge for drone performance and basic programming skills. The second phase will feature an advanced 1–2 week course focused on programming specifically designed for drone models owned by Crostars, a Chinese innovation and technology group.
According to the embassy, the exact duration of each training phase will depend on the participants' existing computer literacy and programming experience.
Earlier, on April 14, a Chinese delegation successfully held a drone exhibition in Bangladesh’s National Parliament. The embassy described the event as “a vibrant celebration of both the Bengali New Year and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh,” showcasing a unique blend of culture and technology.
The upcoming training is part of a collaborative initiative between the Chinese Embassy and Bangladesh’s Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The program will be conducted by China’s Crostars Innovation Culture and Tourism Technology Group and will be offered free of charge for Bangladeshi technical professionals. The course will be conducted in English and is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from mid-June to mid-July.
The embassy encourages interested candidates to apply before the June 1 deadline.
