BIJF Family Day 2025 Celebrated with Festivity and Fellowship

Before stepping into the holy month of Ramadan, Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF) celebrated its ‘Family Day 2025’ with a vibrant day-long program, bringing together members and their families. The event took place at Pubail Socio-Cultural Center in Gazipur on the last weekend of February, where more than two-thirds of BIJF’s members, along with invited guests, participated in the festivities.

The day was packed with engaging activities, including basket toss and cricket stump throwing for boys, chocolate picking for children, and pillow passing and basket toss for women. Winners of these games received prizes, adding to the excitement. Attendees also enjoyed a boat ride on the nearby waterbody, reminiscing about Bangladesh’s riverine heritage. The afternoon featured a traditional pitha festival, while the excitement soared in the evening with a raffle draw. Each member left with a common gift bag, bringing the celebration to a cheerful close before returning to their professional commitments.

Industry leaders from ICT and business organizations encouraged BIJF members at the annual gathering. Among the distinguished guests were Tanvir Ibrahim, President of BACCO, and Joint Secretary General Musnad E. Ahmed; Zia Ashraf, Chief Operating Officer of Chaldal.com; Md. Sahab Uddin Shipon, former Senior Vice President of e-CAB; Shahed Morshed Jaigirder, PR Assistant Manager of Realme; Rumi Mehdi Hasan, PR Coordinator of Xiaomi; Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, AGM of Smart Technologies; and Khaja Md. Anas Khan, Country Manager of Gigabyte Bangladesh. The guests praised the initiative, stating that such gatherings in a serene, rural setting strengthen inter-industry communication through informal networking and discussions.

BIJF General Secretary Sabbir Hasan inaugurated the event with a welcome speech, while President Hitler A. Halim delivered the closing remarks. Other key BIJF officials participating in the event included Vice President Bhuiyan Inam Lenin, Joint General Secretary Enamul Haque, Organizational Secretary Touhidul Islam Tushar, Treasurer Saiful Islam Shanto, Publication and Research Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, and Executive Member Enamul Karim.
