After returning to Bangladesh following a seven-month stay in the United States, actor Apurba went straight to his son Ayash’s room. Upon waking up and seeing his father, Ayash was surprised, and tears of joy filled his eyes. The heartwarming reunion, captured in a two-minute video, was posted on social media on August 5.

While the video touched countless viewers, some users commented that Ayash was deprived of parental affection and that Apurba was indifferent toward his son.

Offended by these remarks, Apurba wrote on Facebook on Friday evening, “Some people have no sense of truth or falsehood, nor the slightest sense of respect. Passing dirty judgments and making absurd remarks about the love between parents and children is not only shameful but utterly inhumane.”

He continued, “There is no point in reasoning with those whose families and society have failed to instill values and humanity in them. For every parent, a child is the greatest part of life. Every smile, tear, and achievement of a child brightens the parents’ hearts. Recover quickly from the sickness of thinking others are inferior.”

Issuing a warning, Apurba added, “Think before making fabricated, false comments about my or anyone else’s child. If you don’t know the truth, remain silent. Someone’s child is not your ‘item’ for creating content.”

Apurba alleged that certain individuals had deliberately spread false information and fabricated stories to gain views, damaging the reputation of his son and family.

His ex-wife, Nazia Hassan Audity, also responded on Facebook, writing, “Some people have made negative comments claiming my son is alone, which deeply saddened me. Ayash lives with me and is always surrounded by love and care. All his needs are fulfilled. He goes to his father’s house whenever he wishes or on weekends. We have always prioritized his happiness above everything else.”

On August 9, Saturday, Apurba filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Unit over negative comments and the spread of misinformation. He stated that three individuals had already been identified and that the remaining offenders would soon be brought under the law.
