NSTU Hosts National High School Programming Contest 2025 Regional Round

Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) hosted the regional round of the National Higher Secondary Programming Competition 2025 at its Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering (CSTE) department lab on June 18. The event featured programming contests, ICT quizzes, and chess competitions across junior, secondary, and higher secondary categories, alongside seminars on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for participants.

Chaired by CSTE Department Head Professor Dr. Nahid Akter, the closing ceremony at Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Mohammad Ruhul Amin Auditorium saw Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail as chief guest. Special guests included Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Rezwanul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Dr. Asadun Nabi, and Deputy Secretary of the ICT Division Nasir Mohammad Abu.

In his address, VC Professor Ismail stated: "The world is advancing rapidly. Fields like data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics all depend on ICT. Without ICT, neither our education-research nor daily operations can progress. The ICT Ministry's initiative will undoubtedly prepare the next generation for global competitiveness."

The ICT Division has organized this competition since 2015 to cultivate programming skills among grades 6-12 students and assess their ICT capabilities. The event concluded with certificate distribution to participants.
