Social media giant TikTok has rolled out a set of AI-powered features aimed at enhancing content discovery and creator engagement on its widely used ‘For You Feed’. The updates include “Manage Topics” for frequency control, an upgraded “AI-driven Smart Keyword Filter”, and an educational guide for easier navigation.

With the newly introduced “Manage Topics” feature, users can now fine-tune the frequency of content appearing in their feed across more than ten popular categories, such as creative arts, travel, nature, and sports. This feature helps align the feed with current trends while giving users more control over the content they consume based on their interests.

The “Smart Keyword Filter” builds on TikTok’s existing keyword filtering tool and has been significantly enhanced through AI integration. Users will soon be able to view and customize which keywords are being filtered, offering a more tailored experience.

To help users understand and manage the ‘For You Feed’ effectively, TikTok has launched a comprehensive educational guide that brings together tips and tools in one place. These educational videos have already garnered over 180 million views globally.

Adam Presser, Head of Operations and Trust & Safety at TikTok, stated, “The ‘For You’ feed is what makes TikTok unique—it’s a place where people discover new interests and communities, and we’re excited to bring these features forward to build a safer and more relevant content experience for everyone.”

These enhancements are now available across all TikTok accounts.

The ‘For You Feed’ remains TikTok’s most popular feature, enabling users to explore diverse new content while providing a platform for creators to showcase their talents. For example, Mahimmex’s cooking videos have inspired thousands, while Saba Chowdhury’s content on fashion and lifestyle continues to grow in popularity. Creators like Rothy Ahmed and Nadir on the Go have built vibrant communities around culture and travel, and Ayman Sadiq is assisting millions of users through his educational content.
