bKash Brings Back Hassle-Free Qurbani Payments at 27 Livestock Markets
Continuing its initiative from previous years, mobile financial service provider bKash has enabled cashless Qurbani cattle purchases across 27 designated livestock markets nationwide, including major hubs in Dhaka and Chattogram. This allows customers to conveniently pay for sacrificial animals and associated fees via bKash, avoiding the risks of carrying cash or handling counterfeit or damaged notes.
This year’s list includes key markets such as Gabtoli, Bosila, Bhatara, Dhaka Polytechnic Institute grounds, Diabari, and Postogola in Dhaka; Sagarika, Bibirhat, and Moizzartek in Chattogram; Dopdopiya in Barishal; City Hat in Rajshahi; Lalbagh in Rangpur; and Kazi Bazar in Sylhet, among others. In all these locations, buyers can purchase cattle using bKash without needing physical cash.
In addition to animal purchases, customers—regardless of whether they pay in cash or digitally—can also pay the government-mandated market fee (hassil) using bKash by scanning a dedicated QR code displayed at each market.
As online Qurbani cattle shopping gains popularity, bKash is also increasingly being used for payments on digital livestock platforms, offering customers a secure and seamless transaction experience from the comfort of their homes.
To further facilitate Eid-related spending, bKash has temporarily increased its daily transaction limits: customers can now Cash In, Send Money, or Add Money up to BDT 100,000. This revised limit is effective until June 9, ensuring a stress-free financial experience during the festive period.
