Amazon has announced that its advanced AI-powered voice assistant, Alexa Plus, is now available to a wider group of early users. On Saturday, the company revealed that many participants who had signed up for the Early Access Program can now activate Alexa Plus. The news was first reported by Engadget.

This new version of Alexa is described as significantly smarter and more conversationally capable than its predecessors. However, when Alexa Plus was initially rolled out in March to a select group of users, many found that the promised features were missing. According to The Washington Post, those features were not yet ready for public use at the time.

Currently, priority access is being granted to users of Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21 devices. Once Alexa Plus is set up on one device, it will automatically update to other compatible devices associated with the user’s account.

Amazon claims that Alexa Plus is “more proficient at handling complex tasks and natural conversations” compared to previous versions.
