Internet Entrepreneur Found Hanging in Bangshal
A 30-year-old internet entrepreneur, Yasin Arafat Bappi, was found hanging in his residence in Bangshal, Dhaka. Reports suggest that he took his own life following a dispute with his wife. The incident occurred on Saturday during iftar time.
Family members rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in an unconscious state, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased, Bappi, was the son of Javed, a resident of Agamasi Lane in Bangshal.
Dispute with Wife Before the Incident
Describing the events, Bappi’s father, Md. Javed, said,
"We live on the fourth floor of our five-story house in Agamasi Lane. Yasin was engaged in the internet business. Just before iftar, he had a minor argument with his wife, Rupa. While everyone was preparing for iftar, he went into his room and locked the door. When he did not respond to repeated calls, we broke open the door and found him hanging. We immediately brought him down and rushed him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead."
Confirming the incident, Md. Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, stated,
"The body has been kept in the hospital morgue. The relevant police station has been informed."
