To promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism and ensure media integrity, Honor Bangladesh has organised a special workshop for member journalists of the Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF).
Titled “Practical AI and Media Integrity with Honor AI,” the workshop was held in Dhaka, with participation from leading figures in journalism and the industry.

In his welcome address, BIJF President Hitler A. Halim said that in today’s world, understanding AI is no longer a luxury for journalists but a necessity to safeguard credibility and professionalism in reporting.
“This workshop has been organised to build a bridge between technology, ethics, and practical journalism,” he said.

Speaking at the event, Honor Bangladesh Deputy Country Manager Mujahidul Islam said that AI is transforming the way news is produced and consumed.
“We believe that public trust in the media must remain at the centre of this transformation. From that belief, we are working to develop responsible and human-centric AI technologies,” he added.

Later, Honor Bangladesh Head of Business Abdullah Al Mamun presented various features of Honor AI relevant to journalism. He said these technologies can help journalists work faster, enhance creativity, and ensure content credibility, while also providing insights into future AI capabilities.

The workshop was conducted by Golam Samdani Don, Chief Inspirational Officer of Don Samdani Facilitation and Managing Director of Don Samdani HR Services and Teenage LifeSkill Academy. Through interactive icebreaker sessions and practical discussions, he highlighted different aspects of using AI tools in journalism.
During the session, he demonstrated how AI can accelerate journalistic workflows, improve productivity, and strengthen content reliability.

Participants also had the opportunity to experience Honor’s newly launched Honor Magic 8 Pro smartphone firsthand. They explored its 200-megapixel AI camera, proactive YOYO AI assistant, and on-device AI security features, gaining practical insights into the device’s AI-powered capabilities.

The workshop concluded with active participation and spontaneous discussions between journalists and Honor officials. Through this initiative, Honor reiterated its long-term commitment to ethical AI use, trust, and responsibility toward the media community, alongside promoting the responsible application of AI technologies.
