After an eight-year hiatus, Bangladesh is once again set to host one of the world’s most prestigious Android developer conferences—Droidcon Bangladesh 2025. The two-day international event will kick off on June 20 at the campus of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in Dhaka.

More than 500 participants and 19 international speakers are expected to attend this premier Android-focused gathering, featuring over 20 technical sessions. The event promises to be the largest meetup for Android developers in the country, combining workshops, talks, and real-world learning.

The first day of the conference will commence with an inaugural ceremony followed by 10 sessions, including keynote speeches, lightning talks, and discussions on cutting-edge topics. These include Kotlin, Flutter, clean architecture, user interface design, and personal stories of developer journeys. Attendees will learn how to build better Android apps and gain insights from startup founders and tech professionals.

On Saturday, June 21, the second day will offer nine more sessions, focusing on Android security, the use of AI in mobile testing, Kotlin Multiplatform, and engineering leadership. The closing day will feature a panel discussion with special guests, along with a quiz and raffle draw. Each day will begin with a keynote and conclude with networking and community gatherings.

The conference topics will span Android and Kotlin development, cross-platform solutions such as Flutter and Kotlin Multiplatform, user experience and accessibility, clean coding practices, software architecture, and engineering leadership. Discussions will also cover how AI and modern tools assist in debugging, testing, and enhancing mobile applications.

Droidcon was last held in Dhaka in 2017, attracting more than 300 developers. The return of the event in 2025 signals Bangladesh’s re-entry into the global Droidcon map, alongside other major cities such as Berlin, San Francisco, London, and Nairobi.

Speakers for this year’s event represent top-tier tech organizations including JetBrains, NativeWebs, Walt, Brain Station 23, Czech, Pathao, and Zelef.

The main sponsor for the conference is Dynamic Solution Innovators Ltd., with Brain Station 23 and Czech as gold sponsors. Community partners include BDApps, JetBrains, and Agile Bangladesh. IUB’s IEEE Bangladesh Section and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) are serving as venue partners, with Techbyte Solutions as a co-organizer. The event is being organized by Sunnat629 Dev.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Mohi-us-Sunnat, Senior Android Engineer at Austria-based NativeWebs and organizer of Droidcon Bangladesh, said, “This is not just a conference. It’s a step toward building the future of Android in Bangladesh. We want people to learn, grow, and connect. I want Droidcon Bangladesh to be a place where careers begin and communities get stronger.”

The conference is open to developers, students, tech companies, hiring managers, and technology enthusiasts. It is expected to be a platform for learning, connection, and inspiration.
