Payment Paralysis Plagues Ukraine

On Saturday morning, the electronic payment systems of Ukraine's post offices, restaurants, and metro network became non-functional. Although Ukraine had previously accused Russia of cyberattacks, no immediate evidence of such an attack was found this time, according to a report by Reuters.
The Kyiv city authorities stated that the disruption in the metro payment system was primarily due to a technical glitch at a bank. At a McDonald's restaurant in Kyiv, only cash payments were being accepted.
Oleksandr Fediyenko, a member of Ukraine's National Security Committee, said, "This is not a cyberattack but a technical problem."
Reuters reporters noted that some commercial bank apps and the "Diia" citizen services online platform were also not functioning.
