Science Ministry Gets New PRO in ICT-Linked Administrative Reshuffle
Senior officer of the 28th Information Cadre, Abdullah Al Mamun, has joined as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
He joined his new workplace on Wednesday, May 20. A day earlier, an office order signed by Principal Information Officer Syed Abdal Ahmed directed his attachment to the Ministry of Science and Technology from his previous position as a senior officer at the Department of Information.
After assuming the new responsibility, Abdullah Al Mamun sought cooperation from journalists covering the ministry’s media-related affairs.
As Public Relations Officer, he will serve under Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam and Secretary Md. Anowar Hossain. In addition to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister Mahbub Anam is also in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology. Muhammad Jasim Uddin is currently serving as the Public Relations Officer of that ministry.
Earlier, former Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Md. Tanvir Mia, was transferred as the Public Relations Officer to the office of the State Minister for Primary and Mass Education.
