A certificate distribution ceremony and cultural evening were held as part of the “Youth Leadership Workshop,” aimed at developing leadership among young people, enhancing skills, and raising social awareness. The main organizer of the event was Children Watch Foundation, with Green Voice and Bohishikha serving as co-organizers.

The event took place on Monday, April 20, at the office of the Women Voluntary Association in Dhanmondi, the capital.

The program began with the rendition of the national anthem. This was followed by presentations, reflections from participants, the distribution of awards and certificates, and concluded with a cultural program.

The event was presided over by Shah Ismat Azmeri, Chairman of Children Watch Foundation, and moderated by Humayun Kabir Suman, Co-founder of Green Voice.

Speaking as a special guest, Gaus Piari said that everyone has distinct dreams, and acquiring skills is essential to achieving those dreams. He expressed hope that increased participation of students in the future would contribute to building a better Bangladesh.

Another special guest, Mozammel Haque, Joint Secretary of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, emphasized the crucial role of youth in driving social change. Highlighting students as the future, he stressed the importance of public speaking and communication skills. He also expressed optimism that the new generation would take the country forward.

Chief Guest Anisur Rahman Talukdar Khokon, Member of Parliament from Madaripur-3 constituency, stated that patience, self-confidence, and perseverance are essential for progress in life. He urged students to ignore negativity and remain steadfast in pursuing their goals. He added that even if all aspirations are not fulfilled, the results of one’s efforts eventually bear fruit. He also opined that such workshops should be organized on a larger scale.

Students from University of Dhaka, Eden Mohila College, and Badarunnessa Government College, along with participants from various universities and colleges, attended the event. At the end, participants expressed gratitude to the organizers and called for such workshops to be held regularly.
