Police Protest Photo Propaganda on Facebook Attributed to IGP

The Police Headquarters has clarified that a statement attributed to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, circulating on social media through a photo card, is false.
The viral photo card claimed: “It is incomprehensible how major offenders get bail within two or three days of arrest.” However, the Police Headquarters confirmed that the IGP never made such a statement.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, October 1, the Police Headquarters said that the claim is baseless. The Media Wing of the Police Headquarters strongly protested the dissemination of this misinformation and warned against the deliberate spread of misleading news.
According to the statement, the photo card was fabricated by distorting remarks made by the IGP during a press conference held at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday, September 30. The Media Wing reiterated its objection, emphasizing that the false information was intentionally published to mislead the public.
