In a hands-on initiative to bolster local internet management skills, the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), in collaboration with the Business Promotion Council under the Ministry of Commerce, has launched a three-day workshop for 60 engineers in Rajshahi.

The training is being held at Hotel Warishan in the city’s Saheb Bazar area and began on Saturday, June 21. It focuses on the practical use of RouterOS in internet administration and network management.

The workshop was inaugurated by Md. Shahidul Islam, Convener of the Rajshahi Divisional Committee, and ISPAB Director S. M. Saiful Islam Selim. Other attendees included all members of the Rajshahi Divisional Committee and ISPAB Office Secretary Bijoy Kumar Pal.

Serving as trainers are international training specialists Md. Mahbub Hasan Pavel, Imam Hasan Raza, Suman Kumar Saha, and Md. Shamsuzzaman. Through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, participants are being taught how to safely extend broadband internet services to remote communities, build effective networks, and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.

According to the ISPAB Secretariat, the workshop will conclude on June 23 with a certificate distribution ceremony led by ISPAB Secretary General Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan.
