Dual Distinction for E-Commerce Entrepreneur Hosneara Nuri Nawrin
E-commerce entrepreneur Hosneara Nuri Nawrin received two prestigious accolades in a single day, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. Nawrin, the founder and CEO of Nawrin’s Mirror and Jamdani Express, was named “Best Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Global Business and CSR – Global Media Award 2025. She also received this year’s “Joyee Award” from the Padma Entrepreneurs Foundation.
The Global Media Award 2025 was presented to her on Friday at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka by legendary Nazrul Sangeet artist Ferdous Ara. The ceremony was also attended by Alhaj Nuruddin Ahmed, personal photographer of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and media personality Raju Alim.
Later that day, she was honored with the Joyee Award at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. The award was handed over by celebrity chef and president of the Cooking Association, Keka Ferdousi. President of the Film Artistes Association D.A. Taher and Chairman of the Padma Entrepreneurs Foundation Moniruzzaman Apurba were also present.
Nawrin is the visionary behind Nawrin’s Mirror and Jamdani Express, two initiatives that have redefined women’s fashion and traditional Jamdani weaving through a modern entrepreneurial framework. Under her leadership, the Jamdani Development Centre (JDDC) has played a vital role in developing new entrepreneurs, providing training, and creating employment in the Jamdani sector.
Upon receiving the awards, Nawrin remarked, “This recognition is not mine alone; it belongs to my team, my artisan brothers and sisters, and every woman in the country who struggles every day to build her dreams.”
