CCC Cultivates Cutting-edge Commercial Collection with B-Track and MILEDGE
A new initiative has been launched to modernize and digitize Chattogram City Corporation’s (CCC) commercial holding tax collection system. To simplify, streamline, and make tax payment transparent and accountable, CCC signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday with B-Track Solutions and MILEDGE.
Under the agreement, CCC’s commercial holding tax collection operations will be fully transformed into a cloud-based software system. The new digital platform will feature real-time reporting, data analytics, and tracking capabilities, enhancing transparency and efficiency in tax administration. Citizens will be able to pay their taxes conveniently through online banking, mobile banking, ATMs, or cash counters.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, “Technology-driven administration is the need of the hour. We aim to fully digitize the commercial holding tax collection system so that businesses can easily pay their holding taxes. This will not only increase revenue but also reduce corruption and harassment.”
He added, “The administrative processes of Chattogram City Corporation are gradually being automated. Once this project is implemented, tax collection will be transparent and accountable, and citizens will have access to real-time information.”
Also present at the signing ceremony were CCC’s Acting CEO and Secretary Md. Ashraful Amin, Chief Revenue Officer Sarwar Kamal, Chief Accounts Officer Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, and Revenue Officer Md. Sabbir Rahman Sani. Representing B-Track Solutions were CEO Tanvir Siddiqui and Head of Project Safayet Abdullah.
From Mileage, attendees included CEO Engineer Tahsin-ul-Islam, Director Riyasat Islam Fardin, Managing Director Abrar Rafid Chowdhury, and Chief Information Officer Akhiyar Noor.
The project is expected to significantly improve efficiency, accountability, and citizen access to information in Chattogram’s tax administration.
