ISPAB Election Ends with Enthusiastic Voter Turnout

The voting for the executive committee of the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) concluded on Saturday with enthusiastic participation from its members. Though voting started 30 minutes behind schedule, it continued uninterrupted across 10 booths until 4:30 PM at the Shaheed Abu Sayeed International Conference Center on Minto Road in the capital.
According to the Election Commission, the General Member category saw 229 votes cast out of 262, marking an 87 percent turnout. In the Associate Member category, 557 out of 662 votes were cast, reflecting an 84 percent turnout. On average, the overall voter turnout stood at 85 percent.
Preparations for vote counting began immediately after the polling ended, and counting was scheduled to commence after the Maghrib prayer.
