Transparent Transactions: EFT-Based Salary System for MPO-Listed Technical Teachers from June

Starting this June, all teachers of MPO-listed non-government institutions under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will begin receiving their salaries and allowances through the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) system. This initiative aims to establish a more modern and transparent financial transaction mechanism, impacting thousands of educators across the country.
As part of a pilot program, salaries for the month of February have already been disbursed via EFT to teachers of 11 selected institutions. Following the successful implementation of this pilot initiative, the Directorate has now begun the process of expanding the system nationwide to include all MPO-affiliated teachers under its jurisdiction.
Khorshed Alam, Deputy Director (MPO) of the Directorate of Technical Education, stated, “We have seen encouraging success in the piloting phase. Now we are preparing to pay all teachers via EFT starting from June. Data collection and verification processes are currently underway.”
Notably, the project was formally launched on December 30, 2024, during a dedicated workshop, where 11 institutions were selected for the pilot phase. Officials believe that the EFT-based salary system will ensure timely payments, enhance transparency, and significantly reduce the scope for financial irregularities.
