Meta Plans Instagram App for iPad After Long Wait

After years of anticipation, Meta is reportedly planning to launch a dedicated Instagram app for iPad, according to The Information. Until now, iPad users have been limited to an expanded version of the iPhone app to access Instagram.
Analysts suggest that, with TikTok's uncertain future and the “divest-or-ban” legislation in the U.S., Meta is set to take more aggressive steps. Consequently, the company is now focusing on addressing the long-standing demand from iPad users.
Previously, Instagram’s head, Adam Mosseri, had stated that the relatively small number of iPad users meant creating a dedicated app was not a priority. However, the situation is now changing.
Currently, iPad users can access Instagram through Stage Manager and the web app, but a native app that takes full advantage of the larger screen has been highly anticipated. While Meta has not officially confirmed the news, there is growing discussion about the development in the tech world.
