Bangladesh Submarine Cable Reports Decline in EPS for Q2 and H1 FY2024

Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company PLC (BSCC PLC), a publicly listed company in the telecommunications sector, has released its unaudited financial statements for the second quarter (October–December 2024) and half-year (July–December 2024) of the current fiscal year. According to the published report, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) has decreased in the reported period.

For the second quarter, BSCC PLC recorded an EPS of Tk. 2.46, compared to Tk. 3.58 during the same period of the previous fiscal year. This marks a decline of Tk. 1.12 per share or 31.28%.

In the half-year period, the company’s consolidated EPS stood at Tk. 5.19, down from Tk. 7.75 in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, reflecting a drop of Tk. 2.56 per share or 33.03%.

As of December 31, 2024, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk. 87.85.

The information was disclosed on Sunday, January 26, through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).

Earlier, the company’s board of directors reviewed and approved the financial statements in a meeting held on Saturday, January 25, 2024, before their release.
