Robi Axiata PLC has launched a national case competition titled ‘Privacy Avengers’ to strengthen young people’s skills and awareness in data protection and personal privacy. The competition is being organized as part of Robi’s ‘Privacy First’ initiative.

Students from any department of all universities in Bangladesh will be eligible to participate. Participants must form teams of three and develop new and effective solutions to real-life challenges involving data protection and personal information privacy.

The proposed solutions will also have to consider customer trust, business requirements and emerging technologies.

Robi said the initiative aims to promote a culture of responsible information use among young people and contribute to developing future digital leaders.

Participation in the competition is free of charge. Registration will remain open from September 1 to September 21, 2026, through Robi’s website.

Registered teams will have to analyze a designated case and submit a concept paper by September 24. Following an initial screening, the top 20 teams will advance to the next stage as ‘Privacy Defenders’.

Ten selected teams will then have the opportunity to receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals from the industry.

In the final round, the teams will present their solutions before a grand jury on October 13. The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on October 15.

The winning team will receive the title ‘Privacy Guardian 2026’. The competition carries total prize money of Tk 500,000.
