One of the country’s leading digital operators, Banglalink, has further strengthened its network capacity across the country ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. To ensure uninterrupted voice and data services for customers, the company has modernized more than 750 network sites in different parts of the country.

On Monday, 16 March, the operator said that during Eid millions of people travel from cities to districts and rural areas. To handle the additional pressure, Banglalink has taken early initiatives to strengthen its network. As a result, the company said network coverage has expanded, capacity has increased, and overall network performance has improved.

According to the operator, the network modernization will enable customers in many areas to experience internet speeds up to 35 percent faster than before. This improvement will make browsing, video calls, and video streaming smoother. Enhanced connectivity will also be available along highways, as well as at bus and railway stations and other key transit routes.

To ensure uninterrupted communication, Banglalink has also introduced Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi). Through this technology, customers will be able to make and receive calls using Wi-Fi. The feature will be particularly effective inside buildings or in high-rise structures where mobile signals are comparatively weaker.

Commenting on the initiative, Banglalink’s Chief Technology and Information Officer, Hussein Turkar, said that millions of people return to their loved ones during Eid, making seamless communication a top priority during this period. He added that Banglalink is working to ensure that customers can stay connected with family and friends with confidence through strengthened networks and the introduction of new technologies.
