Honor Introduces Hassle-Free Handset Hire Without Cards
AI-driven smart device manufacturer Honor has launched a cardless installment facility to make smartphones more affordable and accessible to millions of customers.
To avail of this service, buyers must submit a copy of their latest electricity bill along with the National ID (NID) and a three-month bank statement—or transaction records from bKash or Nagad wallets—of a guarantor who is a blood relative. Salaried customers can use their office ID cards, while business owners may provide their trade licenses as proof for installment eligibility.
Effective from October 26, the new service enables customers to purchase smartphones through easy installments using cash payments—without requiring any bank card.
On Monday, October 27, Honor Bangladesh announced that under this new scheme, customers can enjoy flexible credit options by paying only 20 to 50 percent of the device price upfront. The remaining amount can be settled over a three- to six-month installment period. The cash-based system ensures a fast and seamless process, completing full approval within 20 minutes. The service is available exclusively at Honor’s official brand shops.
Explaining the motivation behind the initiative, Abdullah Al Mamun, Head of Business at Honor Bangladesh, said,
“We wanted to design a payment option that works for everyone. Many customers wish to buy new smartphones, but conventional installment methods are often complex or costly. With our cardless service, we have made the process much simpler. Although there is a minimal service charge, the ability to pay installments in cash will make life much easier for our customers.”
