In a landmark move to ensure the financial security of Bangladesh’s farmers, agri-fintech startup AgroVenture Limited has entered into an agreement with tech-driven insurance company Guardian Life Insurance Limited. Through this partnership, the two organizations have jointly introduced a new service titled Credit Shield Insurance for farmers.

The initiative aims to safeguard farmers from bearing the burden of additional debt during unforeseen adversities. Alongside this, the partnership envisions a long-term plan to create a resilient and inclusive agriculture-based ecosystem by integrating modern technology with financial protection mechanisms.

Speaking about the new collaboration, Rabib Ridwan, Managing Director of AgroVenture Limited, said, “Technology is the ultimate source of strength. Through digital innovation and inclusive financing, we can make Bangladesh’s agriculture more productive and robust. One of the key challenges faced by farmers is financial uncertainty, and our partnership with Guardian will play a significant role in eliminating that uncertainty.”

Meanwhile, Sheikh Rakibul Karim, DMD of Guardian Life Insurance Limited, stated, “We believe true development is possible only when protection is ensured for everyone. Farmers are the backbone of our economy, yet they face the highest level of financial risk.
