Bangladesh-Korea Bond Celebrated at UITS Seminar

To mark the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and South Korea, the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) hosted a special seminar on “Bangladesh-Korea Relations.”

The event began with the rendition of national songs from both countries, symbolizing the friendship and goodwill shared between the two nations. Held on Thursday at the university's Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall, the seminar drew the presence of faculty, students, and administrative staff.

South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh, Park Young-sik, delivered the keynote speech as the chief guest. He discussed the ongoing cooperation in education, economy, and culture between the two countries and expressed optimism about deepening this collaboration for mutual development.

Following his speech, the ambassador participated in an engaging Q&A session with students and faculty, addressing various dimensions of the bilateral relationship and potential future initiatives.

Earlier, during a visit to the UITS campus, Ambassador Park delivered a special lecture titled “Korea's Economic Development and Its Education”, highlighting South Korea’s remarkable economic transformation and the lessons it may offer for Bangladesh.

Mohammad Mohsin, Vice Chairman of PHP Family, Honorary Consul of South Korea, and a member of the UITS Board of Trustees, attended the seminar as a special guest.

The program commenced with a welcome address by UITS Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan, while the session was moderated by UITS Registrar Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
