On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, “Zero Day Test” has officially launched as Bangladesh’s first structured Bug Bounty and Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP) platform. It has been confirmed that the platform will make its virtual debut on Friday, May 1, in the evening.

According to Byte Capsule IT, an ISO 27001-certified cybersecurity firm operating the platform, the initiative aims to protect various institutions, startups, and fintech organizations in the country from cyberattack risks within an organized and legal framework. The company expects that, amid the growing global exposure of vulnerabilities—such as passwordless “authentication bypass” (CVE-2026-41940) flaws in sensitive software like cPanel or WHM—the platform will play a vital role in strengthening and modernizing Bangladesh’s cybersecurity infrastructure.

Sakib Haque Zisan, Founder of the company and Head of Operations of the platform, said that more than 400 “hunters” or ethical hackers, along with several organizations, have already participated as part of a pilot project. An additional nine new organizations are currently awaiting onboarding. He noted that at a time when techniques like CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed) injection are putting millions of domains worldwide at risk, such a localized ecosystem will ensure practical and effective security for institutions. To mark the launch, organizations will initially be offered free penetration testing along with subscription-based services.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Sakib said that awareness and practical action in cybersecurity are critically needed in Bangladesh, and the platform will serve as a proper guideline for the country’s ethical hacker community. The official inauguration of the platform was announced through an online event held at 6:45 pm on Zoom, attended by IT experts and investors from across the country. Stakeholders expressed hope that, with the rapid expansion of technology, such a collaborative initiative will strengthen Bangladesh’s overall cybersecurity posture and bring it closer to global standards.

It has been learned that, as part of social responsibility, the Zero Day Test platform will operate on a voluntary basis as a “proactive” security testing model. A verified ethical hacker community will continuously test the digital assets of participating organizations to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Byte Capsule IT claims that, by overcoming the limitations of conventional one-time security testing (VAPT), the platform establishes a continuous monitoring system capable of reducing costs by approximately 60 to 80 percent compared to traditional methods. Under this system, organizations will be able to define a specific scope for their websites or applications, while hackers will identify vulnerabilities within a controlled environment and provide prompt remediation solutions.
