PMO Appointments Announced: Research and Protocol Posts Filled
Abdus Sattar Patowary Appointed as Research Officer at PMO
Md. Abdus Sattar Patowary has been appointed on a contractual basis as Research Officer at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday, February 19.
According to the gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nur-e Alam, Abdus Sattar Patowary has been appointed as Research Officer to the Prime Minister on the condition that he relinquishes any other profession, business, or employment ties with any government, semi-government, private institution, or organization. He will receive the salary at the highest step of Grade-9 of the national pay scale.
The notification further states that the appointment will remain effective from the date of joining until the tenure of the Prime Minister or subject to the Prime Minister’s satisfaction.
In a separate notification, S. M. Parvez has been appointed as Protocol Officer-2 to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Earlier, Senior Assistant Secretary Md. Ujjal Hossain was appointed as Protocol Officer-1 to the new Prime Minister.
On Wednesday, February 18, journalist Abu Abdullah M. Saleh was appointed as Press Secretary to the Prime Minister. Additionally, Atikur Rahman Ruman, Editor and Publisher of the Daily Dinkal, has been appointed as Additional Press Secretary on a contractual basis.
Under the same order, Md. Mehedul Islam has been appointed as Private Secretary-2 to the Prime Minister, while Abdur Rahman Sani has been appointed as Assistant Private Secretary-2.
