DUCSU VP Candidate’s Facebook Account Locked Amid Alleged Conspiracy

Vice President (VP) candidate in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, Umama Fatema, has reported that her Facebook account was suddenly “locked.”
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, September 9, in the afternoon, she said, “At 3:50 pm I was still active on Facebook. But suddenly, I don’t know why my account was locked.”
She added, “In today’s situation, I cannot understand who conspired against me.”
Earlier, on Monday, September 8, the account of BNP-backed VP candidate Abidul Islam Khan was “disabled.” Jamaat-e-Islami-backed VP candidate Abu Sadiq Kayem also alleged that his account had come under attack, prompting him to temporarily deactivate it. Both blamed conspiracies for the incidents. Later, both candidates managed to reactivate their accounts.
