Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb Holds Discussion with ICT Officials in First Meeting After Appointment

In his first meeting with ICT officials since assuming his new role, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, exchanged views with the officials. The discussion session took place on Thursday at the conference room of the ICT Tower in Agargaon. At the beginning of the session, Secretary of the ICT Division, Shish Haider Chowdhury, welcomed Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb with a floral tribute on behalf of the division.

During the meeting, ICT Division officials provided a detailed overview of the division’s ongoing activities and initiatives.

In his keynote speech as the chief guest, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb stated, "I want to see you not only as managers but also as leaders. Identify the challenges within your respective organizations and take proactive steps to resolve them instead of waiting for instructions. There is a prevailing negative perception of ICT among the people. It is your responsibility to change that perception and find ways to utilize ICT for public welfare and national development. To achieve this, you must take on both managerial and leadership roles."

Addressing the ICT officials, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb emphasized, "Your role is to fulfill the dreams of the youth by advancing the digital economy. Everyone must take responsibility and work diligently towards this goal."

He further directed project directors and deputy project directors to ensure the highest quality in project implementation.

Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury reaffirmed the commitment of ICT Division officials, stating, "Under the guidance of the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, we are fully prepared to restore the reputation of the ICT Division and contribute to its success."
