Shamim Hossain: The Architect of Freelancers
Shamim Hossain, a native of Jhenaidah, once held a lucrative position at a multinational company, earning a substantial salary in the six-figure range. Despite financial stability, he nurtured a dream of empowering young men and women in his village through IT training, enabling them to become self-reliant. With this vision in mind, he resigned from his job after seven successful years and dedicated himself to training local youth in information technology.
Since then, Shamim Hossain has trained nearly 20,000 young individuals, transforming them into freelancers who now earn foreign currency while working from Bangladesh. His commitment to his dream remains unwavering, and he continues to contribute to the cause in various ways.
Celebrating his journey, novelist Rahitul Islam has written a book titled Shamim Hossain: Freelancer Gorar Karigor (Shamim Hossain: The Architect of Freelancers), chronicling his struggles and achievements. The book has already gained significant popularity among readers and is receiving an enthusiastic response at the book fair. It is available at the Granthik publication stall (numbers 103–105). Apart from the fair, the book is also receiving a positive response online and offline.
Speaking about Shamim Hossain: Freelancer Gorar Karigor, author Rahitul Islam stated, "Shamim is a passionate young man. He left a job that many would sacrifice everything for, choosing instead to return to his village with a dream of transforming society. He is training thousands of young individuals, who, after completing their training, are contributing to the country as freelancers. That is Shamim’s greatest satisfaction. Although the book is centered on Shamim, readers will experience it as a novel, primarily because his life itself is like a novel."
Regarding a novel being written about him, Shamim Hossain said, "I never imagined that a novel could be written about me. I am grateful to Rahitul Islam for taking this initiative. I still have many unfulfilled dreams. Ultimately, I just want to keep working for my country throughout my life."
