Marvel Snap Resumes in US Amid ByteDance-Linked Ban

The popular game Marvel Snap, which was temporarily unavailable on Saturday night, has resumed operations after being affected by laws targeting ByteDance-owned apps such as TikTok. The game’s current publisher, Nuverse, is owned by ByteDance, reports The Verge.
In a post published Monday evening, the game’s developer, Second Dinner, stated that to avoid such issues in the future, they plan to “bring more services in-house” and “work with a new publisher.” The same message is visible to players upon launching the game, as shown in a screenshot shared on Reddit.
However, the game has yet to return to Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store, although its listing on Steam remains active.
TikTok, which also faced a brief shutdown, is now operational again, though it, too, remains absent from the App Store. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Monday delaying enforcement of the law for 75 days. Nevertheless, companies risk penalties if they fail to comply with its terms.
