Robotics Readiness: WROBd Hosts Two-Day Teacher Training in Chattogram

A two-day teacher training workshop was held at Chattogram Independent University (CIU) under the initiative of World Robot Olympiad Bangladesh (WROBd). The workshop saw the participation of 11 selected teachers from four schools in the Chattogram region, along with six local mentors. The primary goal of the training was to equip educators with technical skills to better support their students.
Among the participants were three teachers each from Quantum Cosmo School and College, Halishahar Gunners School, and Ramu Cantonment English School and College, and two teachers from Faujdarhat Cadet College. The lead trainer for the workshop was Israfill Shaheen Arannya from Dhaka, assisted by Mohammad Sadul Alam.
On July 18 and 19, the first day featured a hands-on Arduino workshop where teachers learned microcontroller programming, basic robotics concepts, and participated in practical project construction. On the second day, participants were trained in the ‘Future Inventors’ category using the WRO-KIT. They were also introduced to the newly launched online platform, wro-learn.org, which went live on July 14, 2025. The platform offers robotics courses accessible to both teachers and students, awarding certificates upon successful completion.
The initiative aimed to empower teachers so they can effectively prepare students for the World Robot Olympiad and foster technology-driven thinking and innovative mindsets within their institutions. WROBd plans to continue nationwide teacher training and student development programs to help cultivate a technically proficient and globally competitive future generation.
