As part of the preparations for Bangladesh Artificial Intelligence Olympiad 2025, initiatives have been taken to enhance the interest and proficiency of school and college students in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). In line with this objective, a special workshop titled "Road to AI Olympiad" was held on February 27 at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka. The workshop focused on various aspects of preparing students for the AI Olympiad.

The event was graced by Munir Hasan, President of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), as the chief guest. Special guests included Professor B. M. Mainul Hossain from the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, who also serves as the leader of Bangladesh’s team for the International AI Olympiad, Brother Leo James Pereira, Principal of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, and teachers Anthony Prince Costa and Dipak Kumar Sarker.

Additionally, Arefin Anwar, a student of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and silver medalist at the International AI Olympiad (IAIO) last year, along with Rafid Ahmed, a bronze medalist from Academia, shared their experiences and preparation strategies for the Olympiad.

The workshop, jointly organized by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and Josephite Math Club, provided students with detailed insights on how to prepare for the Bangladesh Artificial Intelligence Olympiad 2025. This will be the second edition of the AI Olympiad in Bangladesh, open to students up to the 12th grade.

To nurture interest in technology and AI among the younger generation, a series of workshops, seminars, and competitions are being organized as part of this initiative, aiming to develop students’ skills and expertise in the field.
