Popular singer and actor Tahsan Khan has tied the knot for the second time, a development that has stirred widespread discussion on social media. Amid a day of intense debate among netizens, Tahsan delivered a promised surprise to his fans in the evening. However, shortly after, he found himself at the center of controversy on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. While many offered their congratulations, some resurfaced pointed images of his former wife. Yet, overshadowing these reactions, a series of YouTube videos focusing on the alleged background of his new wife’s father have garnered the most attention. The sensational headlines ask, “Is that ‘Panama Faruk’ who is Tahsan’s father-in-law?”

On Saturday, January 4, at 6:14 PM, Tahsan confirmed the news of his marriage by posting a romantic photograph with his bride on his Facebook page. Within an hour, the post garnered over 350,000 reactions, more than 33,000 shares, and upwards of 50,000 comments.

The post featured his new partner, adorned with makeup that showcased the craftsmanship of Rosa Ahmed, Tahsan’s new wife, who is a makeup artist by profession. The photograph was captioned with poetic lyrics:
“Kono ek chhuti’r dine jokhon ami pianote/ Amar sure nacher mudray, shei tumi ke?/ Jar chhonder mughdata’y kete jabe bakita jibon/ Dhoa otha cha’er ka’pe, shei tumi ke?”
These words added a layer of artistic ambiance to the announcement.

While Tahsan refrained from posting on Facebook for the rest of the day, his former wife, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, shared a mirror selfie with their daughter, Ayra Tehrim Khan, on Instagram. This prompted a wave of online nostalgia, reminding followers of the time when Mithila had similarly posted a photograph with Ayra following her marriage to filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.

It has been revealed that Tahsan’s wife, Rosa Ahmed, is a Bangladeshi-American bridal makeup artist with over a decade of experience in both Bangladesh and the United States. She has also trained thousands of women as a makeover educator. Rosa pursued her studies in New York, where she later earned a cosmetology license and established Rosa’s Bridal Makeover in Queens. As an entrepreneur, she enjoys a substantial following on social media platforms.

Since the morning, several photographs of Tahsan and Rosa went viral on social media, prompting widespread admiration and congratulatory messages from fans and entertainment industry colleagues. Some commented, “At last, Tahsan has found his moonlight. It feels as if his beloved song has come true!”

Amid the celebrations, attention turned to Rosa Ahmed’s father, Faruk Ahmed, who has become the subject of scrutiny on social media, where he is being introduced as “Panama Faruk.” Several YouTube videos have been released on the topic, fueling the controversy.

Sources suggest that Faruk Ahmed was killed in a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) crossfire in 2014. A resident of the Chawk Bazaar area of Barisal city, Faruk was reportedly involved in numerous criminal activities.

According to the Kotwali Model Police Station, Faruk had 10 cases filed against him, including charges of murder, arms dealing, and extortion. Between 1996 and 2001, during the Awami League government’s tenure, he allegedly led one of the notorious “eight gangs” that dominated Barisal city. When the BNP-led coalition came to power in 2001, Faruk and his associates fled abroad, returning only after 2008.

Faruk was accused of leveraging his political connections during the Awami League’s rule to conduct widespread criminal activities without facing consequences. He controlled the northeastern part of Barisal city and owned a business named Panama Traders on Bazar Road. His criminal activities earned him the moniker “Panama Faruk,” by which he became widely known.
