Research and Reform: UFTB Seminar Inspires Future Innovators
A two-day seminar titled “How to Do Research and Build Research Careers” has been organized by the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB) to guide students on how to conduct research and build careers through it. The event began on Monday, October 20, at Room 1202 of the Administrative Building of the university, located in Kaliakoir, Gazipur, near the capital.
At the inaugural session, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf presented the keynote paper on “How to Do Research and Build Research Careers.”
Students from the Department of Educational Technology and Engineering and the Department of Internet of Things and Robotics Engineering of the 2020–21 academic year are participating in the seminar.
Highlighting the importance of research, the Vice-Chancellor said, “Young students are the innovators and change-makers of the future. Through this seminar, we want them to internalize the fundamental techniques of research and be motivated to take research as their future profession.” He urged students “not to study merely for degrees but to focus on creating new knowledge and solving real-world problems.”
The seminar has been organized with the support of the Office of Research and Extension to enhance research skills and encourage students to engage in meaningful academic inquiry.
