Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, listed in the engineering sector of Bangladesh’s capital market, has set an example of rapid dividend distribution by transferring approved cash dividends to investors’ bank accounts just one day after its annual general meeting (AGM). Shareholders approved a 180% cash dividend and a 10% stock dividend for the 2025–26 financial year. The company also reported higher annual profit of more than Tk 11.24 billion.

Walton Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam, FCS, said the company held its 20th AGM on Thursday, October 15, 2026, through a digital platform. A large number of general shareholders, alongside institutional investors, attended the meeting.

Shareholders unanimously approved the board’s proposal for a 180% cash dividend and a 10% stock dividend for FY2025–26. The approved cash dividend was transferred to the relevant bank accounts one day after the AGM.

The company secretary said Walton’s technological excellence, institutional efficiency and operational agility, combined with a strong liquidity position, enabled the company to distribute cash dividends within a very short period. This, he said, established a notable example in Bangladesh’s capital market.

Profit and Earnings Per Share Rise

For FY2025–26, shareholders received Tk 18 in cash for each ordinary share with a face value of Tk 10. They will also receive one bonus share for every 10 ordinary shares held.

The company’s total net asset value (NAV), including revaluation, stood at approximately Tk 127.04 billion. NAV per share, including revaluation, rose to Tk 381.26. NAV per share excluding revaluation also increased to Tk 280.24.

Stock Dividend to Support Green Energy Expansion

The approved 10% stock dividend will support the company’s ongoing expansion of green energy capacity, efforts to ensure an uninterrupted power supply, and other balancing, modernisation, rehabilitation and expansion (BMRE) activities.

The company said the entire stock dividend would be issued from retained earnings.
