Celebrating Sharadiya Durga Puja, the primary religious festival of the Hindu community, mobile financial service provider Nagad has rolled out an exclusive consumer campaign. Under this festive initiative, customers completing merchant payments through Nagad can enjoy instant cashback alongside opportunities to win round-trip Dhaka–Sri Lanka–Dhaka air tickets and modern electric scooters.
The announcement was confirmed via an official press release issued by the postal department's digital financing arm on Saturday, 17 October 2026.
According to campaign terms, shoppers executing payments of Tk 10,000 or more within a week at designated merchant outlets using "Nagad Bangla QR" via the Nagad App or USSD (*167#) enter a weekly draw for Dhaka–Sri Lanka–Dhaka return flight tickets. In addition, customers logging cumulative daily spends of Tk 5,000 or above become eligible to win round-trip Dhaka–Cox’s Bazar–Dhaka flight tickets awarded on a daily basis.
The campaign's flagship weekly mega tier rewards one top weekly shopper spending Tk 10,000 or more with an electric scooter. The mega rewards portfolio has been divided across three primary retail categories—lifestyle apparel, footwear, restaurants, and leading supermarket chains. Winners will be selected through an audited automated random selection process, with individual participants restricted to winning one mega reward across the promotional lifecycle.
For retail cashback incentives, customers making a minimum transaction of Tk 2,000 on lifestyle fashion and footwear via Bangla QR receive an instant Tk 100 cashback. Each wallet user can avail of this benefit twice, capping individual earnings at Tk 200. Furthermore, purchases completed at partner superstores, restaurants, and digital marketplaces—including Daraj, Othoba.com, and Cart Up—also qualify for aggregate cashback of up to Tk 200. Verified cashback credits automatically disburse to customer wallets upon payment confirmation.
Commenting on the initiative, Nagad Head of Marketing H. U. M. Mehedi Sajjad stated that the festival represents joy, unity, and shared celebrations. He affirmed that introducing lifestyle incentives, international flight tickets, and sustainable electric mobility rewards alongside day-to-day shopping aims to enrich customer celebrations while expanding adoption of seamless cashless payment infrastructures across Bangladesh, official sources confirmed.
